The Anglican Church of Canada is part of the world-wide Anglican Communion, which is part of Christ’s Church on Earth.

It is Catholic and Reformed, and holds the historic threefold ministry of bishops, priests and deacons, as well as all the sacraments of the Catholic Church. Jesus Christ is the unique revelation of God in time and history. He shows us what we are meant to be and how we are to live if we are to become truly God’s children. The Resurrection of Jesus from the dead convinced his followers that those who are united to God cannot be separated by death, and also that God, His goodness, and life, ultimately win over evil.

Christ’s followers become integral parts of His body (His life) through Baptism and self-commitment. We are fed spiritually by God through the bread and wine (the body and blood of Christ) in the Holy Eucharist, which has been the central act of worship in this parish since its founding in 1885.

Our purpose in the Parish of St. Michael and All Angels is to foster the spiritual growth and development of its members by creating an atmosphere of belonging to a loving Christian family; to nurture that growth and to express our faith in Christ through the sharing of the Sacraments and the Word in Public Worship; and to mobilize all our resources, both human and material, in order to reach out to others, within and outside the parish, who need our help and compassion.
